The coalition is made up of civic leaders, law enforcement, service providers, health care professionals, community members, and preventionists from Carter County. The Carter County Substance Abuse Prevention Committee works to prevent substance abuse through research, strategy, and education. Our members have been working to prevent the misuse of prescription drugs and alcohol. Currently, we are aiming to broaden our work to include other substances such as Methamphetamines and Marijuana. Through our prevention efforts, we hope to create a safe and healthy environment for the community we serve.
