Community Based Prevention Services Coordinator - Comanche County
The Wichita Mountains Prevention Network (WMPN) is hiring a full-time
Community-Based Prevention Services Coordinator to work on underage drinking
prevention initiatives in Comanche County. This position is grant-funded through
the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
(ODMHSAS) and will be based in the Lawton office.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend regular coalition meetings and community events
-
Attend mandatory in-state training (with occasional overnights or weekends), as needed
-
Create social media and paid advertising content
-
Draft monthly press releases related to prevention initiatives
-
Research best practices for reaching target populations
-
Investigate laws, policies, and ordinances related to alcohol and assist with preparing policy language enhancements at the local level
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Have a passion for substance abuse prevention
-
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
-
Experienced with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Zoom
-
Must have reliable transportation
-
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
PREFERRED
-
Comfortable with public speaking and group facilitation

Experience managing web content
BENEFITS

$18 per hour, 40 hours per week. (Regular office hours are M-F, 9:00 am-4:30 pm.)
