Employment Opportunities

The Wichita Mountains Prevention Network (WMPN) is hiring a full-time
Community-Based Prevention Services Coordinator to work on underage drinking
prevention initiatives in Comanche County. This position is grant-funded through
the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
(ODMHSAS) and will be based in the Lawton office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend regular coalition meetings and community events

• Attend mandatory in-state training (with occasional overnights or weekends), as needed

• Create social media and paid advertising content

• Draft monthly press releases related to prevention initiatives

• Research best practices for reaching target populations

• Investigate laws, policies, and ordinances related to alcohol and assist with preparing policy language enhancements at the local level   

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have a passion for substance abuse prevention

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented

• Experienced with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Zoom

• Must have reliable transportation

• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check

PREFERRED

• Comfortable with public speaking and group facilitation

• Experience managing web content

BENEFITS

• $18 per hour, 40 hours per week. (Regular office hours are M-F, 9:00 am-4:30 pm.)
