What is TeenCon?
TeenCon is a one day behavioral health conference for Jefferson County 6th & 9th graders that empowers them with the tools they need to make smart choices for their behavioral health.

A day at TeenCon:
Students will start the day off hearing from a keynote speaker, before heading off to three "workshops". The workshops vary depending on if the student is in the 6th or 9th grade, but they always educate students on necessary skills and provide them with knowledge that may not always be taught in schools. For 6th graders, this typically includes Coping & Refusal Skills, Goal Setting, and Mindfulness. As for the 9th grade workshops, they focus more on Healthy Relationship Management, and— most importantly for both 6th and 9th graders— prevention strategies.

Students will be transported and fed by TeenCon staff. Free handouts— such as water bottles, t-shirts, backpacks, and folders— will also be provided.
